 Morna O’May, CVA, FRSA is a Sociology and World Religions graduate from the University of Stirling, Scotland who has worked in the Third Sector for over 25 years. She has managed teams of remote volunteers in several national charities in the UK. Morna passionately believes in the power of volunteering and has overseen the development of large-scale volunteering programmes in order to tackle social issues in our communities. Morna gained her CVA in 2023, the first person in Scotland to do so. She is an active member of the Association of Volunteer Managers and was on the board of Volunteer Scotland. Morna has a strong belief in the professionalisation of Volunteer Leadership. She believes that in order to have dedicated, reliable, appreciated and well cared for volunteers, it all starts with professional leadership.
